Some advertisers, like Pepsi, are pouring marketing dollars into homegrown projects rather than flashy bets like the SuperBowl. But even so, online video ad dollars will grow significantly this year according to the most recent figures from eMarketer. This really opens up a great conversation. If brands can create their own content why would they want to sponsor anyone else’s content? Well, maybe because they would like to concentrate on their own product or service making it the best it can possibly be. Of course if their products and services would become better by creating their own media they should get their social media marketing game on.
