I think we are just now starting to enter into a very exciting time for collaborative video creation and production.
Some very good tools are becoming available (at little or no cost), and so now the key here is connecting the right combination of individuals to work on projects, and we will see some very good quality video content in the near future.
I predict that next year in 2010, we will really see collaborative online video production take off.
Loved the location for your shoot Daisy, San Francisco is very beautiful.
I agree the 2010 will be the year collaborative video production will really take shape and we will all push each other to create better more efficient platforms. We at Simian know this and have built our Projects platform to set the standard in this area.
I totally agree – we’ve seen an amazing growth in business for Wiredrive over the last few years, fueled by some important business shifts – decreased budgets, reduced production timelines and increased output (50 webisodes vs 1 broadcast commercial) are forcing creative companies to turn to powerful collaboration sites to keep ahead.
Unlike FTP, real collaboration sites enable different departments – production, sales and marketing – to send out client friendly presentations with richer descriptions, better information capture and detailed usage tracking. Sales reps routinely manage their multi-million dollar revenue streams entirely with Wiredrive and their phones – they require consistent and reliable video playback for clients all over the world. Our production clients also rely on our system to manage high-budget projects with up to 7 layers of decision-makers.
We strongly believe that we as consumers now require our media to be convenient and in our control. We as media producers should require the same experience while making our media. Wiredrive is here to enable that vision.
