Young adult novel are many things. They are entertaining, romantic, funny, suspenseful, scary, witty, clever and so on. Many are also heartbreaking, wrenching, touching and so on. And within all those different shades and colors, you’ll often find teen lit novels that tackle tough topics like rape, abuse, eating disorders, suicide and neglect. In fact, teens often choose novels because the books deal with issues they might be facing in their lives.
The talented and prolific book blogger Little Willow has compiled an excellent resource guide for teens, parents, librarians and teachers that lists books by issue, supplies a rating similar to movie ratings for the content and ranks them by quality. Bookmark this page!

Thank you so much, Daisy. This is quite flattering.
Excellent. Linking to this later this week.
Great resource! I love reading YA because in some ways it’s a lot more intense than adult. It’s about figuring out who you are–something I think most people struggle with at times.
Great site! Thanks for sharing. : )
