As part of the Girlfriend’s Cyber Circuit, I am pleased to host Jen Echols today. Her novel “Endless Summer” releases this week and it’s a fantastic romantic comedy and perfect beach read. So get to know Jen and the book! Here’s a description of the story.

Two irresistible boys. One unforgettable summer.

Lori can’t wait for her summer at the lake. She loves wakeboarding and hanging with her friends–including the two hotties next door. With the Vader brothers, she’s always been just one of the guys. Now that she’s turning sixteen, she wants to be seen as one of the girls, especially in the eyes of Sean, the older brother. But that’s not going to happen–not if the younger brother, Adam, can help it. Lori plans to make Sean jealous by spending time with Adam. Adam has plans of his own for Lori. As the air heats up, so does this love triangle. Will Lori’s romantic summer melt into one hot mess? .

Isn't this cover totally adorable??

Daisy: If you met your 16 year old self, what piece of advice would you give her?
Jen: Stop worrying! Everything is going to work out fine. (I had a great life and wonderful friends as a teen, and a lot of anxiety for no apparent reason!)

Daisy: I have created magnificent ass dents in two couches from all the writing time I log. I also have a pair of white fuzzy boot slippers that look like something a yeti might wear if yetis wore boots. What piece of clothing or item in your home would provide the necessary evidence to prove to the authorities that you are a writer if questioned?
Jen: Right now I am wearing my high school jazz band T-shirt from age 13.

Daisy:When you tell people you write books for teens, what do you say when they ask, “Oh, like Twilight?”
Jen: If they are looking for a hot romance like Twilight, my books are good picks. If they are looking for moody darkness, my novel Going Too Far has that, but the current release, Endless Summer, is the opposite. It’s played out in the bright summer sunshine. And if they are looking for vampires…nope.

Daisy: When you’re not reading or writing, where can you most likely be found?
Jen: Outside in the sunshine, gardening, running, or swimming. With sunscreen!

Daisy: In my first novel The Mockingbirds, a group of boarding school students form an underground justice system to right the wrongs of their peers. Looking back on your high school experience, what type of secret society did your school need the most?
Jen: Tobacco police. I know this will sound weird to readers who aren’t from tiny towns in rural areas, but a lot of boys at my school dipped tobacco, and it was cool to have a “Skoal ring” faded into the back pocket of your jeans. *shakes head*

Daisy: Most people want to know who would play your main character if your novel became a film. But I’m a Broadway geek, so I want to know what you would call the show-stopping number from your novel when it becomes a Broadway musical.
Jen: There is a fireworks scene at the very end. In my head, “Endlessly” by Green River Ordinance is playing while this is going on. I have seen Titanic on Broadway and they were able to reproduce a sinking ship, so surely they can portray fireworks?

Daisy: I’m going to tweet this blog post. So tell me in 140 characters or less, why people should buy your book.
Jen: “It is summertime and you want a hot romance with a reckless, adorable boy during long afternoons on the lake. ENDLESS SUMMER is your book!”

Thanks, Jen!
