If you ever wondered whether Twitter and Facebook can be truly effective business tools, let me share this story. When TVWeek announced in May that it was going online-only, I posted a Tweet about the news. Within minutes, Brad Berens with iMedia reached out to me asking if I was available for work. Over the next two months we sketched out a plan for working together and I’m pleased to announce that I’m now going to be spending about half my time programming conferences for iMedia! I’ll be a senior content producer and will start by planning the agenda and speakers for iMedia Breakthrough in October.
I will also remain active as journalist, reporting regularly for Beet.TV, Emmy Magazine, Promax, KNTV’s Tech Now, This Week in Media, TVWeek’s NewsPro and my own New Media Minute. Thanks for all your support and I’m so excited to add iMedia to my terrific client list!
