By day, I am a producer, on-air correspondent, podcaster and raconteur in the new media business. By night, I write novels for teens and am the author of The Mockingbirds, to be published by Little, Brown in November 2010.

48!!! I loved on your FB status, I think it was, where you said 48 guaranteed sales. ;) I wish I'd thought of that!!! But writing acknowledgments is wonderful, isn't it? It's a nice moment to pause and reflect. :)

Thanks for commenting on my blog! What a nice surprise. I enjoyed the post on LiLa's blog and am so impressed with yours. Fresh look and bright writing.
I think it's amazing and classy that you took the time to thank so many in your acknowledgments.

This line: "I enjoy an embarassment of riches in friends, family and professionals who made my dream a reality." I LOVE this. What a joyful thing to be embarassed about. I want to be THAT embarassed like that too!

1. 48 people!?! Does that mean we'll have 96 since there's two of us? Do you think they'll give us double the space? Yowza.

2. Your dog is adorable.

3. Your guest post is a raging success! Thanks for sharing your genius with us if only for one day.

4. Can't wait to see your cover!

5. Have you ever considered doing a step by step blog feature about marketing for authors? You could either organize it by where an aspiring author is at in their career (just finished manuscript, got an agent, on submission, etc) or chunk it into different topics (branding, PR, print marketing, social networking, etc). I sense people would LOVE that. And we'd definitely link for our readers.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog the other day! I completely agree that writing and the pursuit of publication could not be done without the support of all those around us.
