By day, I am a producer, on-air correspondent, podcaster and raconteur in the new media business. By night, I write novels for teens and am the author of The Mockingbirds, to be published by Little, Brown in November 2010.

My husband thought I was trying to tell him something one day when I brought home the big book of 1001 baby names...LOL.

Yeah, that's an awkward conversation. "No honey, I'm not having a baby. I'm just trying to name my characters."

I agree with Stephanie. I think Dorcus has a nice ring to it. Or maybe Ebneezer...it is Christmas after all. : )

I've always thought "Stephanie Perkins" had a lovely ring to it.

OR . . . what about . . .

Ebeneezer, Mergatroid, or Dorcus?

Unfortunately I don't have a very exciting/unusual name... but I would like to suggest the names Sheldon, Jareth, Hamish and Phoebe... something about those four names just sticks with me. Good luck with your sequel and I absolutely can't wait to read *THE MOCKINGBIRDS*
